(Dec. 1, 2009) – Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) November sales were up 5.2 percent in the United States, marking the sixth straight month of a year-over-year increase. In the United States, VCNA sold a total of 4,631 vehicles in November.For the month of November, Volvo sales in Canada were up 2.3 percent with a total of 484 vehicles sold. Overall in North America (United States and Canada), Volvo has sold 61,714 units year-to-date, which represents a 17 percent decrease for the same period of 2008*.The Volvo XC60 has been a major contributor to Volvo’s recent success in America. Sales through November were an impressive 7,882 units in the United States.In a one-two sales punch, Volvo earlier this year launched its industry leading Safe + Sound Coverage Plan, a complimentary coverage program, wraps a comprehensive list of benefits into one package. Volvo has combined additional time and mileage limits on warranty repairs and roadside assistance coverage, and has increased wear-item and factory scheduled maintenance coverage. Specifically, it provides: * 5 years/60,000 miles of New Car Warranty * 5 years/60,000 miles of Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance * 5 years/60,000 miles of Wear and Tear Coverage * 5 years/Unlimited miles of Volvo On Call Roadside Assistance.
