Thank you. I have had a look at the link to your original post.
01 seats are significantly more comfortable and softer than 03 and newer. I don't think this translates to sagging into the seat more than a marginal amount, but wonder if this may be the cause....
Hi All,
I did a quick search but couldn't find a past post. ALL my driver door buttons failed at once. The driver window had been playing up recently, but I've always been able to get it to work...
317,000km and still on the original smooth transmission. Feb 2001 build.
I need a new steering rack though. :( None available in Australia.
Plus money spent keeping it in 'new' condition, or as far as that is possible, is usually cheaper than the depreciation costs of a new car plus its own maintenance expenses.
I hope my XC keeps...
I bought my XC with 231K kms on it nearly four years ago. I love it. No reason to let go of it any time soon. The '07 XC in the garage with less than 50K kms on it is better/smoother/newer/etc but...
Given it's under acceleration only, sounds like a drive shaft to me.
If it's the wheels that are out of balance, you'd feel it when rolling along at a constant speed.
Parts for these cars are...
Hope you make a full recovery quickly. I bought my XC after an inexplicable U-turn into two lanes of oncoming traffic with a BMW, writing off two oncoming vehicles. That split second that you get to...
4 new tyres yesterday. :D
Another benefit of the J-cradles I hadn't realised is that the tailgate opens much further. Not entirely, but close enough. I find it very useful. :D
Does it happen more often on hills?
My turbocharger works fine. :D
Well today I hit the 1.95m warning bar when entering the shopping centre carpark! I drove in carefully and took them off to avoid any risk.
I remember one stressful drive when I couldn't back out...
Don't watch that video if you just read my post about lifting kayaks onto the roof by myself!
Anyway, great video and pleased to hear that loading on the side is the way to go!
I also...
OK, another AU$423 spent (= about the same in US$) after a $25 discount.
The setup I have now fits *just*. As you can see in the second photo, the two boats connect by a matter of 1 or 2mm,...
Funny you mention it. When I got up in the middle of the night to have another look at the Thule website, they mentioned the stacker, but suggested it is appropriate for white water kayaks. I...
I woke up in the middle of the night with the solution! :D
My new double kayak doesn't have a bulkhead between the two cockpits. Once I fold the front backrest down, there's enough space to park...
P.S. In theory if I got an additional cross bar that would probably solve the problem. I think.
I'm now at the point where I've just realised my cross bars are further apart than the length of the shaft of my paddles. Until now I've carried my paddles inside the car, but with 5 PAX that is not...
As I've been upgrading my boats (and my kayaking needs are expanding) I'm in the process of upgrading the rig to carry them.
Two things to note about the J-cradles:
The folding ones are great,...
We're planning another NSW/ACT drive day. Saturday the 6th of November has been selected. Route and details are yet to be decided, but we're looking at somewhere on the South Coast of NSW, meaning...
Great photos!
I did see a 2005 V70R up for grabs in Queensland not so long ago. Can't remember if it was manual or auto, but all you'd have to do is change the transmission and you're done.
But...
Hi,
I've found quite a few threads about adjusting the bi-xenons up or down. I've found the white hex? nob that would apparently do this.
However, my passenger side light aims way too far...
In Australia, a new voltage regulator is AU$195 plus 10% tax. At the current exchange rate, that's US$185.
It took two hours to install, so that was only AU$220 + 10% tax.
All up AU$415.00...
I've seen the screws. When I get the car back I'll have a good look.
