Default Change of coolant, how to get rid of the air?

    Hello,

I just put in an electric engine heater in time for winter.
I had to drain the coolant to do this. Now when I am filling the coolant again, I canīt get everything in...how do I get the air out of the cooling system on a XC90 T6?

    Regards,

Perhaps the VADIS instruction for refilling coolant after replacing the thermostat would be relevent. They say to fill the system and put the cap back on and run the engine until the thermostat has opened. And to then top off the fluid.

    Thanks Bill!

Just tried it out and it worked great!

Maybe it would be a great idea to put in a wish for a set of VADIS DVDs for christmas :-)

FYI - That is how it is done with 99.9% of engines. Only ones that differ are ones that have parts of the cooling system that have a high spot above the
filler. They are usually motorcycles or performance machines that have little
    room for hoses and radiators.
