Don't Do what I did!!!!

I notified E-bay under the fraud prevention section on the listing. They very politely told me that it was past the 35 days from ending of the listing that I was out of luck. I really feel scammed. I have called the seller and left messages and actually spoke to him in person and he keeps saying he has to talk to his partner and he will get back to me. When I knew it had no oil pressure and that the engine might be shot he told me he would pay for the rings because that was all it was. Anyway I had those replaced for $259 and still no oil pressure. He said it must be the Oil pump the and he would pay again. Well I have had a bunch of rings replaced and some hoses and bearings, nuts, Catalytic converter replaced under original warranty (it was 10 years to 80.000 miles)drive shaft replaced and am up to $3,000 in repairs. I have not seen a dime and again it was too late to file with e-bay. I think these promises might have been stalling techniques.
My car is still smoking up a storm at stop signs, lights and idling and ABS & Squiggly road still come on after several minutes of driving. I have postponed taking it in again until I came back from a wedding to South Dakota. I would really appreciate any suggestions in regards to the Burning oil. It doesn't seem to burn much oil on the highway. I drove to Wisconsin before easter and got 24+ miles to the gallon. Engine and transmission ride really smooth with lots of Pickup. In 450 miles of Highway driving it only lost 1/2 quart of oil but for this city stuff it smokes up a storm. People pull over to other lines at the bank driveup just not to be behind me.

I dont know how made the payment. If you pay by mail, why not file a fraud with the USPS Master General. Also try the BBB, even call the attorney's office in whatever state you purchased in. I remmeber my friend sold a seat on ebay, then he was in the hospital for some surgery. So for about two weeks, he didnt talk to the seller. The seller ended up calling the cops in his town and they showed up at his house asking what's going on.

Try everything you can at this point, email ebay again about what they promised you and stuff

Take off one of your intercooler hoses. Look inside of the hose and check for oil. If you can wipe your finger in there and get enough for the oil to drip off of your finger after the wipe then it's likely your turbo charger leaking oil past it's internal seals. That's not cheap either. Another place to have checked is your valve seals. It's possible that your seals are bad and are leaking oil into your upper cylinder causing a ton of smoke. You may want to replace those anyway. Bummer to have a car that smokes that bad.

Besides my volvo, I once bought a 1993 infiniti j30 it was hit a little bit with a broken glass and airbags popped, I thought I got a good deal, once I paid the guy took it home, and my friend put it up on his lift, I wanted to cry literly.
As for the seller who sold you the volvo If he didn't state that the car was like that when you bought it you could take him to court if he's a dealer and you have the webpage still saved on your comp as offlined favorite, print it and keep as evidence, but if said sold as is with no warrenty or anything than I dont know if you could make a case. As for your engine, my car has been burning some oil too have to check that out. Could be your turbo or something else like valves like the others said. Good luck buddy, and dont think all volvo's are like that lol.
