Any clues when the xc50 will be launched ?
2005, 2006, 2007 ??
thanks,
It was due to be launched next year but the new XC70 / Ford Freestyle was to come first. Of course the XC50 is based on the V50 which has a lot of problems with it at the moment,(front seats working loose from their moorings in the floor, etc, etc) again all known faults to Volvo. The new 30 range is due out next year, god knows what problems that will bring with it, maybe it could be the final nail in Volvo's coffin, if they keep on churning out faulty, sorry unreliable cars.
Or is it called an XC60? I am confused, XC50 or XC60??
Thanks, Lee
All XC (Cross Country's) are odd numbers XC90, XC70, XC50, XC30.
Saloons are evens S80, S60, S40, S20??
V's (Wagons) mainly follow the odd numbers, now that the V40 is going going gone...
R's (Racing) can be any number V or S model
H (Hatchback) the newest of the range will start with the H30, looking a bit like the old Volvoised DAF.
Thank you. I would purchase an XC 50 today, and dump the Ford Escape.
Volvo XC50 (small XC70) will be introduced mid 2006 and they will have to, if you look at the line-up of competition in 2006:
- facelift BMW X3
- facelift Landrover Freelander
- new Opel Frontera
- Audi Q5
They will have to introduce the XC50 in 2006.....my guess is at the carshow in Geneva, March 2006
According to The dutch newspaper 'Telegraaf'
There has been given a green light for the building of The upcoming XC50.
It is most likely going to be build in Gent, Belgium.
