Hi!
The AC relay on my 2005 XC90 is not engaging. If I bypass the relay (remove the relay and shortening the pins 3 and 4 for relay FMI1), the AC clutch engages and life is beautiful.
VIDA is giving me an "ECM-630B A/C relay - signal missing" message. However, by removing the ECM and checking continuity from pin B:44 to pin 1 in the relay connector, I have good wiring.
Oddly enough, after putting the ECM back to its place and reconnecting the battery, the clucth in the AC engages again. However, after the engine is turned off an then on again, it won't engage anymore.
I suspect either a problem in the relay, reporting a wrong current to the ECM that thinks there is no relay, or a problem in the ECM itself.
Has anyone ran into this same problem before? I am afraid I will have to have my ECM replaced!

Thanks a lot!
