    Default ETM fails - XeModex?

    Gentlemen, I will appreciate for your suggestions!!! (xc01, 140K)
    Is there anything else I could do? Or I need go straight to replace ETM?
    If yes, then what about XeModex?
    The symptoms:
    1.irregular idles ( like car is going to stop, like misfiring,..)
    2.While driving on high RPM –engine sounds ok. But on low RPm may switch to LIMP mode
    3.Getting worse in time.
    4.Codes are: 91A7, 91F0,903F, 904D, 9190, 201A
    I did:
    1.checked coils, replaced plugs, checked Main relay, checked voltage on ETM, cleaned MAF
    2.removed and cleaned up the ETM ( yet with white sticker(not replaced) , 8644346) after a while the problem came back;
    3.Recall 155, performed on, March 01, 2006, Recall Info:ETM Software Upgrade;

    Would clean MAF and consider replacing it first...on my theory; that if you're going to throw parts at it, start with the cheapest parts....

    Hi, Astro, thanks,
    I cleaned MAF (with a full can of MAF spray-cleaner...)

    Well, colleagues,

    I ordered Xemodex on Thursday afternoon and got it on Friday! Service is excellent!
    Put it on and the car's risen from the death!! - works like a charm.
    Core refund was received in three days after i have sent the old ETM back.
    No dealler software update/upgrade was necessary- just put it on and drove.
    It costed $570 with shipping and with a Lifetime warranty.
    Dealler wanted 1050, another workshop estimated 850.

    Ive got impressed with their service.

    Your symptoms sound similar to what my '01 did last summer. However, I never got any codes.

    I too used XeModex for a new ETM. There service is second to none and the price is more then far IMO. It came with everything I needed and I sent my core in for money back. Install took some time but not too complicated.

    It's been almost a year on the new ETM with no issues whatsoever.

    Good luck to you.

    Xmodex ETM works great and wont have to be replaced in 50k.

    Definitely recommend!
