    Default Hello!!!

hello yall, my name is Ransom, im 27 years old and from spring, TX

    i currently own
    -2011 volvo XC90
    -2008 F150 S-CREW FX2
-2000 Ford Ranger Sport (airbagged dragger project)
    -1968 VW bug (rat/volksrod project)

im on a different forum for all my vehicles, lol!!

SO......me and the wife recently bought a new 2011 Volvo XC90 for her about 5 months ago, we bought this truck because she is a nanny and watches three little ones (one is a newborn) and we knew how safe it was for her job, secondly, we bought it for the style and the durability of the volvo name & this was her dreamcar.... i also got it because im a huge ford fanatic and they used to be owned by ford!

we also bought it for when we decide to have children.

i love this truck, we just had the first oil and filter change done last month.
i plan on some window tint up front, new black motegi MR116 wheels, weather tech floor/cargo mats and who knows what else..

theres just one thing i HATE about this truck.....

WHATS UP WITH THIS NASTY BRAKE DUST???? why do all the high-end cars/SUV's have this problem? yes, ive heard that the carbon brake pads are better, but is it really worth having your car dirty all the time? no, not for me!!

So i guess my first question is what have ya'll done to solve this issue? who makes a nice ceramic pad that wont ruin my new wheels when i get them, or, how can the dealer fix this issue?

THANKS, i hope you all are as helpful as the other forums im on

    here's some pics...

Welcome to the forum ! you have a nice selection of cars

For the ceramic pads, Akebono is a good brand to look.

just wanted to show off the truck some more!!

i recently plasti-dipped the wheels and they came out killer!!!

the hardest part was washing them, the finish is real rubbery, easy to clean, and peel-able if you want it off

    heres a few pics

Plasti dip looks good. Akebono is your best bet for less brake dust!
