    Default brake light replacement

I was able to replace a "position light" on the left rear, but the brake light is higher up. Are we supposed to be able to reach in there and replace it, or is there some tool to use, or do we have to remove the entire rear panel to get at it? If so, how do we remove the panel? I have a habit of snapping off plastic tabs by ripping them out.

    Thanks

You'll need to remove the speaker panel and the speaker itself to gain access to the bulbs.

    More here.

    Good God!

I like the Wrangler: 4 Philips head screws, from outside, at waist level.

Be careful with the speakers. I've managed to break the top tabs on both of mine.

It's a pain the neck, but it can be done, and will save you big bucks doing it yourself.

I replaced both of tail light assemblies because they began blowing bulbs. Since you're gonna be taking it off anyway, just go ahead and install a new one. I got mine from http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/ for around $110.

Actually, it's a pain in the knuckles and blood everywhere if my experience is anything to go by
