    Default Alarm service required

    Does anybody know what Alarm Service required means? Is this a common message? Thanks

    Default Alarm service

    I get a similar message on my '01. "Security system needs service". It just started happening now that I have started using the A/C. It began just after the first time the automatic blower came on while the car was off.

    I talked to the dealer and they said that it could be the "siren". However, it is one of those problems that actually has to have the error on the dash when they test it.

    If anyone has any info on this, it would be appreciated.
