2005 Volvo XC70 rear bumper on a 2003?

I got rear ended last week. No internal damage, but the shell cracked and needed to be replaced. My question is, can the newer model year 2005 bumper be fitted on my 2003 without modification?

Yes it fits, then you remove the old one, you will se that it is exaktly the same as the new one, it is only the "skidplate" that differs.

Does the 2005 Volvo XC70 bumper comes in blue? I have a blue color 2003 w/ the blue blue bumper and gladding.

The slate blue exterior trim was dropped and changed to stone grey in 2005. You would probably notice the color difference with the newer bumper as there is not hint of blue to be seen.

You may also need the absorber etc behind the bumper.

You will notice a difference between the blue and gray.
