What's in Your Wallet... er, Cupholder ?

The other day in the Los Angeles Times, Automotive section they said most people want cupholders in their cars to hold Cell phones.

With that in mind what's in your's? As you can see I'm running out of real estate!

There is a small trash thing available for the front row for about $10.00

Also all XC70s (I think till 05 when the console was redesigned) have a rear trash bag holder standard. Part of the rear console swings up and you insert a plastic garbage bag. It's actually pretty cool, and easy to miss.

I was initially miffed that this car didn't have some kind of "ash tray" in the dash for spare change and stuff. I got my wife the note pad that fits in the rear cup holder for Christmas

, but learned that it nicely conceals a ton of change underneath. The front holder usually has a cell phone, cough drops, bicycle parts, sunglasses.... anything transient for that particular drive. But never a cup.

I put my change in the mini-pocket in the front of the driver seat and it works great. Easy to get out and the change doesn't clink around. I put mainly quarters in though so I always know what I'm pulling out.

Cell phone goes in little "empty" compartment to left of stereo (where many of you have that retractable cupholder. Ipod goes in first regular cupholder. Beverage goes in second one.

I was surprised to find no ashtray. How am I supposed to smoke a cigar? I hate ashes all down the outside of the car, and sometimes I don't finish it.

Riding up front would be a coffee with my mobile and a lip balm riding in the rear cupholder. We keep our change in the seat pocket as well. (keeps it quiet) Always have a bottle of water in the bottle holder behind the front seats.

Trash bag holder as standard?? I was thinking that it is option!?! I tryed to pull it out but could not open it. How it works??

When I bought the car they offered me a smokerskit for free. But as a non-smoker I refused. So I suppose that you can buy an ashtray as an option. Too bad I refused, otherwise I could send it over.
