Default 2015.5 XC70 possible CEM failure

I went out to start my daughter’s 2015.5 XC70 today. Pushed the start/stop button and got a whole bunch of funky colors and lights on the dashboard. Waited a couple of minutes and tried again, same thing happened but also an “ignition in progress” message. After doing a bit if research via Google, looks like it could be a CEM failure or loose wire to the CEM. Has anyone else experienced similar? Car is now completely immobilized. No lights, no chimes, no power, can’t lock it. Will arrange to have it towed to dealer tomorrow.
    Cheers, Gary

Update: Car is fixed. Had it towed to dealer this a.m. Turns out it was the RDAR (Remote Digital Audio Receiver) software. The software controls the satellite radio receiver and was draining the battery even when the car is off. Apparently a known problem that has resulted in a class action lawsuit against Volvo. I had to get a software upgrade and a new battery, but thankful it wasn’t the CEM. Am disappointed in Volvo though since this is apparently a known issue and yet they still charge for the software upgrade.
    Cheers, Gary
