Default 2007 Volvo XC70 Replace windshield washer reservoir

My windshield washer reservoir no longer holds fluid. I need to remove and replace it. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this task? I cannot find any discussion of this topic.

It has to come out from underneath. Probably easiest to remove the entire bumper cover, search for a how to on that - it's not hard, just awkward.

Remove each 8mm nut holding on the headlight wipers.
Then disconnect the fluid lines from the wiper arms and take the wiper arms off.
Remove the plastic trim retaining pin on the bottom, and the T25 screw, that holds on the air trays, one on each side, and take them off.
Remove the plastic plugs in front, and remove the two 14mm bolts in the front of the cover.
Loosen the T25 fastener in the wheel well by the back of the cover, give it a sharp push forward to unclip the rear ears of the cover.
Now work the cover off by taking it straight forward. You will see various clips and channels that hold it in place. Remember them, they all have to line up for it to go back on correctly.

On the passenger side, the reservoir should be easy to see. I think there are a couple 10mm bolts holding it in place. Remove the pumps and tubing. Unbolt it and take it out.

I would get new grommets for the reservoir, too, not just the reservoir.

Now, if you're lucky, you don't have to do any of this. Put the car up, remove the passenger side air guide, and look at the reservoir. It may be a leaking pump or grommet, and you can do that with everything else still in place.

Depending how beat up your car already is there is an easier way without removing the bumper. I cut a hole in the bumper to coax it out. You can reach all the fittings to disconnect it. I ended up needing a new pump and new reservoir as mine had cracks in it and the pump itself was leaking badly.

You can't see it looking at the car unless you poke your head underneath. Saved me a lot of time.
