    Default 17 " tire recommendations

My 07 XC70 came with the 215/60/17 Pirelli Scorpions that I believe came fitted on these wagons stock from the dealer, but its time for them to be replaced and I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions in terms of what kind of all-seasons to look for, or, if anyone ran any other size 17's with the XC70 without clearance / performance issues? Or should I really look to only replace with the 215/60 sizing.

Seems like load rating and speed rating are something to consider as well.

    Thanks for any input.

Always get an H rated tire or better. The extra cap ply required to achieve an H rating makes for a better tire under all conditions.

JRL (who is no longer with us) had a lot of experience. He ran 235/55/17 without issues. Can’t go much wider than that.

I can't speak for that specific tire size, but I love the Michelin CrossClimate tires on our '04 XC70. It has 16' wheels though.
