Default '03 Sunroof suddenly not working, alarm?

Last time I used the sunroof, it worked just fine, but I didn't use it all winter. Now it's completely dead. I checked the fuse. No problem there. I also read somewhere else about the sunroof not working if the alarm module goes back, and there was a procedure to check it that involved locking the car from the inside with the windows down and then opening the door from the inside. I did this, and it didn't set off any alarm.

I tried pulling the alarm fuse, but that didn't affect it.

What's next on the diagnostic checklist?

I had something similar. Randomly, the sunroof stopped working. I started digging for the problem at the switch. Pulled the panel down, unplugged the switch, plugged it back in, and it started working again. I chalked it up to a corroded connection at the connector that resolved with mechanical manipulation. If that was really it, I don't know.

If the alarm module goes bad (and they’re good for about 10 years, then the lithium battery blows up and fries out the circuit board) then it can cause UEM problems. UEM controls alarm and sunroof.
