I would try bulbs first - they can fail, and you need the bulbs for the LCD screen to work. If not, it's beyond my abilities, because you're into soldering power supplies, etc. In that case, I would call XEMODEX. Expensive but worth it. I've had XEMODEX work over two of three DIMs for the cars in my signature. Seems to happen about 150-180,000 miles...
