    Default Washer fluid reservoir replace

My reservoir is leaking like a sieve. It seems to have cracked and broken. I tried patching it and the plastic just doesn’t take well to any adhesives.

How big a PITA is it to replace? It is winter and cold out so not looking forward to the job. It looks like the fog light might need to come out but any pointers on what needs to be cleared out of the way or on the process would be welcome and appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Default

Ok.my leak fix had worked. It was the headlight washer pump! Totally rusted out and blew out the housing so it was leaking right through the motor. I removed to pump, cut off the nipple and fillet it with epoxy. I put a long screw in one end so I had something to grab onto and am going to slide to back in so it acts as a plug and I can refill the reservoir and hopefully the windshield washer system will work. If not a new pump from IPD for $36.

    UPDATE:

Whole reservoir is shot. When the pump rusted and expanded out it cracked the whole tank. It looks like you have to take the bumper off to get the reservoir out. That wasn’t happening. I cut out a section of the bumper on the underside to get it out. You can’t see it unless you climb under. Car has 215k miles so if it gets a bit trashed that’s the way it goes. I basically use it as an around town commuter and pick up truck substitute now.

Buying a new reservoir and headlight pump.
