Upgrading Fog Lamps

Hi,

Has anyone upgraded the bumper mounted fog lamps to provide better lighting along with modifying their operation so they come on with the headlights and not just from the fog lamp switch?

Any good replacement lamps someone can direct me towards?

Low mounted fog lights are designed to project light UNDERNEATH the fog, and are not designed to illuminate very far ahead. So any higher wattage bulb will just illuminate the gravel right in front of the car better -

For better lighting (off road) just put a light bar on the roof attached to the roof rails like Jeeps do!

I like it when people run their fog lights all the time. (as long as they are aimed properly, at the ground)

You could look at adding the auxiliary driving light kit (PN 30772053, plus some lamps - Hella 500, Volvo's repackaged lamps, or whatever suits your taste). I think there is a way to set them up so they come on with your high beams.
