Does the blue warning light come on the instrument cluster when you try to switch to the brights?

You’re in Canada - so you have DRLs. Which means the low beams are on with the headlight switch OFF (9:00 position).
Sounds silly, but the headlight switch must be ON (12:00 position) for the high beams to work...Current Fleet:

Nothing to be embarrassed about, it happened to most of us when we first got the car, drove from Maine to New York cursing my lack of High beams, oops??
