XC70 Driveshaft removal
I believe that I have a bad carrier bearing, or something else wrong with my driveshaft in this car. Today I got her up and got the 12 hex bolts out and the bolts holding the carrier bearing in above the exhaust, I didn't take the exhaust out yet, I'm not sure I need too.
My issue is that even though the bolts are out, the shaft isn't budging. I whacked it with a mallet for awhile, and neither side would budge. I hit it with some pb blaster and I guess I'll resume whacking, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a better way. Can I heat it up? drive the car till it falls out?
Any advice would be great, thank you!
