    Default P2402 Leak Detection Pump 2009 Volvo XC70 3.2

    Good afternoon all,

Had a question regarding the leak detection pump on a 2009 Volvo XC70 3.2. I am getting engine code p2402, which after some research tells me to replace the leak detection pump. My question is the LDP in the same place in the 01-07 model years? If not where is it locate? Thanks in advance!

the leak detection pump is a Bosch one - bosch# BOS W0133-1823985. It is located above the rear differential box - it is a little tricky to replace, but not so hard.

My Check Engine light came on a few days after my last state inspection. Leak detection pump is the culprit. Haven't replaced it yet because it is low priority.

I think I read something about a software update that may fix the problem. Anyone know something about that?

it is under the car near the passenger side wheel. go under the car from the back to see it. it is fairly easy to remove and replace 20 min and the light goes off. parts geek has it for 61$

I recently got the CEL , error p2402 and have purchased the Bosch pump.

Could you provide a brief summary of what is required to change the pump. I saw the picture and see that you need to remove 3 torx screws. Details would really help!

    Thanks a lot.
