Default Turbo lag? hesitation? both un-chipped and chipped..

    Hi,

I have a strange problem (?). The car runs really well both cold and hot. It has no misfires and accelerates really good in normal traffic. It is chipped so it has about 250hp and 410Nm. It had the same behaviour when not chipped and had 200hp and 280?? Nm. When you accelerate type 3/4 of full throttle you feel all the power it can provide. But when you are in a hurry to pass traffic and give it full throttle it has a considerable turbo-lag around 3-4000 before it again goes like a bat out of hell. so there's full acceleration, big hesitation, and then you feel the acceleration again. What could be wrong? That TCV valve is replaced with new OEM valve. New sparkplugs. All coils defect because of running on old plus have been replaced. New fuel filter. Octane 98 filled. Any tips?

Someone may have adjusted the wastegate incorrectly hoping to get more boost, or boost quicker. You could check boost with a gauge to determine if that is causing the lag, otherwise could be an air leak, a sensor (air mass meter) or a fuel trim problem caused by something else.

What brand is your "chip"? (I trust it's an ecu reprogram)

I think Iīm running the same repro (BSR?) and donīt have any problems, runs great.

A turbo boost gauge will show how it works, if has an errating behaviour at high revs perhaps is CBV related and have to be changed, if turbo is ok perhaps dirty inyectors ...

Europe rates octane very differently. 98 RON (they use the Research Octane Number) is about the same as the our 92 (which is an anti-knock index, labeled as Octane).
