Default Exhaust manifold gasket is bad. Okay to drive to mechanic?

The exhaust manifold gasket on my '03 finally went kaput. I'm taking it to my mevhanic tomorrow to get it replaced. It's a distance of about 20 miles. Is it okay to drive that distance or would I be better using AAA to have it towed? Appreciate any thoughts.
    Cheers, Gary
