Oil specification matters far more than weight in this engine.
So, I would strongly encourage you to use a Euro spec oil, like the M1 0W40, which is about the best oil that you can buy for this engine (I've posted UOA on this oil in this engine before. Simply: it was great over a 7,500 miles drain interval). That's what your owner's manual means when it says "ACEA A1/B1"...but people skip that and only read "5W30"...read the TNN on removing sludge in this engine in the resources section...and the ACEA specification is very clearly laid out. Because that is what matters.
If you prefer a slightly thinner oil, then a 0W30 oil by any of the big producers: Mobil, Castrol, Pennzoil would be fine. Budget matters to me...so, I go with what I get on sale that meets specification. Pennzoil Euro for example, in a 5W30 is running in the wife's XC right now. I notice a slight increase in consumption with a 5W30 over the 5W40 that had previously been in there.
But the specification is what determines if the additives in the oil will stand up to a longer drain interval and prevent sludge over that interval. You could have a 5W30 that starts forming sludge in this engine after 3,000 miles, or a 5W30 Like the Mobil 1 ESP that lasts for 15,000 miles. They differ by additive/specification. That's what really matters
