Need To Eliminate Some Old Car Odor

Just got a used car which has some odor I would like to eliminate as much as I can.
The previous owner must have smoked. Just want to get the car to a 'normal' old car smell.

Since I won't get to the car in the next three months, I am thinking of getting some
air refresher blocks and throw them in there.

Any very practical idea(s)?

Spray some white vinegar mixed with water on the carpet ,if the smell of vinegar doesn't bother you! I removed all carpet once,washed it with soap and water and let it dry under the sun, smell still existed,not as much but still there.I did some research on the internet and sprayed vinegar with water mixed ,smell is gone!

Packed differently but, yes the same thing.
Then there is this liquid spray that you spray on the interior, headliner, dash etc and wipe off in a couple of minutes. That removed all the yellow nicotine build up (and deep, old smells that are imbedded)
