2002 V40 recommendations

I have a 99xc, 160K, have a chance to buy a repo 2002 V40 wagon, FWD. Anyone out there familiar and can fill me in on how they compare, problems, virtues, dangers?
I like my 99 but the price on the V40 is just to tempting to pass up without serious look. Thanks

I know why you posted here but I don't think you will get an answer.
I doubt anyone here (including me and I sell a ton of Volvos), has much, if any first hand knowledge with V40s.

I would suggest going on to either www.swedespeed.com or www.matthewsvolvosite.com.
Go to the V40 forums and ask there.
They probably won't have a ton of traffic but at least whoever may answer you would have a better answer for you than someone just guessing here.
Personally, I think those are little fart cars but it's your deal
