Comms protocols and Bluetooth diagnostic units

Anyone know the protocol used by the OBD diagnostic port on the 2012 XC90s.

I know you can buy the DICE units - we had one but it blew the cars mind so it was returned, it caused 3 pages of faults !!

Quite interested in one of the plug in units that can communicate to Android phones via Bluetooth - anyone tired?

I have one of those units. It lets you read simple OBD-II diagnostic data, but nothing Volvo specific and you cannot do any programming. It will read the simple check-engine light codes that are non-manufacturer specific, and I believe it can even reset the codes, but if you're throwing a Volvo specific code those bluetooth readers will not be able to read or reset it.
