    Default help please-my HIGH BEAMS COME ON WHEN I USE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL

    Hi there,my high beams are comming on when i use my turn signals and will stay on even when the key is not in the ignition.they will go off when i toggle the turn signal indicator.can you tell me if i need a new switch,if it needs cleaning or any help and info as how to do it myself and how to remove and repair.thank you all in advance.i also have lost current to my right low beam headlight(fuse is in tact)any ideas on how to remedy this as well?????

    I have no experience with this but would guess you have a problem with the central electronic module. What year is the car?

    I would focus on cleaning the switches in the column first. You might be able to jam a straw into it and saturate with contact cleaner.

    Work the stalk back and forth with the key out.

    thank you,can you direct me to any helpful pics,or directions on how to get in to the switches and which specific parts to try and clean

    There might be a cover on the bottom of the column you can remove. Check the Matthew's site.

    I would just replace the switch. It's about $100, but it has likely failed internally.
