Default '04 V8 running rough, sounds like a miss...

Have an '04 V8 with 50,000 on the ticker. It started running rough over the past few months. I've run a few different types of fuel, but nothing seems to smooth it out. It's a noteable stumble at idle when cold. If I listen to the tailpipe, I can definately hear a miss. Once in a while it will stutter on light acceleration.

The dealer swears up & down that nothing is wrong and "that's the way it's supposed to run". Idiots.

Any of you experienced the same? Think it's time for a set of plugs? I'm guessing these things have a coil-on-plug ignition... any way to check if the coils are dwelling correctly?

Could be lots of things, but did they make a V8 in '04?? Thought that was a '05
release..? Maybe you have a T6 and you are hearing the missing 2-cyls, or a T5
and you hear the missing 3-cyls..

No V8s in 2004, please come back when you realize what you actually own!

Regardless, if you have an early V8, many were recalled for water seeping into the block. Happens if the engine is washed and there may be a recall, not sure about that.
These are VERY smooth and nice running engines, get a new dealer ASAP
