YLStaffer....can you provide the part # on that bushing you replaced. The volvo Dealer has no idea what i am talking about. If I could get it by tomorrow it would be a huge help as i need to order the part and install it before I go to Vermont on Thursday!!!
I have a new propshaft coming and I don't want to find out it was just the bushing and was an easy fix. Sounds like a good idea to replace the bushing anyway While I am under there I doing the propshaft....
Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately I do not have that part number 8pack, sorry! I'm a little disturbed that your Volvo dealer service rep didn't know about it. My service guy tells me that it's not uncommon. I'll look around online and see if I can at least find the proper name for it.
I just called down to my indie shop and he had the PN right there handy... 9143894... hope this helps!
Thanks! Will call and order and let you know how it goes!

The bushing is PART OF the propshaft
You do not want to buy one if you're installing a new shaft
No JRL this bushing is the one that is located on the arm of the VC housing where it mounts on the body above the axle. It has nothing to do with the prop shaft.
I thought you meant the front prop U joint, my bad
I understand this is old thread but I am having the same clunking sound when I turn left at low speed or doing a U-turn. Interestingly, my driveshaft was just replaced with a brand new one 2 years ago when I complained of the same thing (only difference it was making the sound when I made a right turn).
I'm aware it could be the viscous-coupler but I'm hoping it's the VC housing mount bushing. Can the bushing be replaced without removing the driveshaft and/or VC? Thanks!
