One night late but nevertheless drove my V70XC to see the Perseids meteor shower. Still saw about 10 an hour, but they were very hard to capture on camera even at ISO 6400. But the Milky Way was spectacular, as you can see below.
For those who are interested, here's the technical data:
- Nikon D3
- AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm F2.8
- ISO either 3200 or 6400
- Aperture either 2.8 or 4
- Exposure 20 to 30 seconds
The brightest star is Jupiter. You can probably see a meteor towards left (much brighter in real life).

I used the remote to turn off the exterior lighting of the V70XC split second after the exposure began to ensure the car doesn't get over exposed.
