I used a gutter guard from home depot and the emblem holds in place by the tabs that hang them on the original grille with just a little dab of glue...

haha, I wouldn't doubt it. This isn't too bad of an expense money wise if you already have a dremel, hot glue gun, ect ect.
However, it is very time consuming and takes a lot of work. Basing it off of my OEM grill, it seems like it would be much easier to do with a 2005+ grill to start with just because they way they are put together. MUCH less cutting!

Nice work. I would've blacked it out completely myself. I have no fondness for the Volvo grill and cross-emblem.
