Last week replaced both rear wheel bearings, then ordered a front wheel drive hub removal tool! Should make the next set easier. This week had to replace the ETM orginal white label at 237K miles!

- Oil change: 5W30 Pennzoil Platinum (already had two jugs on the shelf), Mahle filter.
- Air filter
- Tire rotation
- Changed the angle gear fluid (so EASY with the drain plug, took 5 minutes).
- Transmission drain and fill (3.25 quarts of Valvoline Import full synthetic).
- Checked and topped off all the fluids.
- Vacuumed it out.

225,000. Still a great car!

i had my rear hatch door latch replaced, it was stuck in CLOSED / LOCKED position. i read a few forum threads and learned this is not all that uncommon. Earlier model years have a manual / key option for operating the rear door, but my 2008 does not, it operates only electrically. my problem was the latch mechanism not electrical. I read plenty of posts about how to jimmy it open from inside the back of the car (pry off the interior panel, stick a long screwdriver down there etc etc), but little info about how to repair it / fix it for real. The parts were 210 bucks and the labor was another 220.

mine is not really mods but it hauled 200 lbs of popcorn, 12 cans of swiss cocco, 3 big boxes of nacho chips, and some preztels. I use my xc70 helping my mom stock concession stands at the football and volleyball.

All i am able to do is think about and dream about my car, then look at some pics of it, but i am planning another excursion in the mud at the end of October!
