That's not necessary though. I replaced a ton of front end suspension on my '02 Dodge Dakota at 60K mi. By 120K mi there was more than needed replacing along with the shattered clips in the limited slip read diff. Now I think my '02 XC70 with 135K needs new front end components also, probabaly $500 for total front end rebuild. I couldn't have done the Dodge for much less. As long as you can avoid the ridiculous $300/hr stealership rates a Volvo isn't that much more to own.

    Talking Still Running

2004 XC70 with 122,000 miles everything original except the timing belt which was replaced at 105K. I am blown away by this car it still runs and looks like the day i bought it.. I boast to my friends and say there is nothing like a volvo and recommend this car to everyone. I will say i'm getting nervous i just have this feeling this is too good to be true. I know something will blow soon, i'm nervous that it will be the turbo. But then again i running the engine hard through upstate ny mountains the other day really using the steptronic tranny without a problem, for a wagon and a 5 cylinder this thing really holds the roads and hauls still impresses me.. Snow storms, heavy rain, bad weather good weather this thing will plow through anything with amazing awd. Long live the cross country, i was disappointed that they have dropped that name from the rear hatch..any one had a problem with a high mileage turbo??? like someone before said i amazed the battery is still original...

Not going to win this one - but 2001 with 100k miles on it. Original tranny, turbo, AWD. The maintenance costs are not cheap, but knock on wood have not had a major failure of any sort.

I always amaze people when I tell them it's 9 years old.

People are shocked at how old mine is too especially when i tell them it has 122K, and still rides like it does (no rattles etc.). Gonna detail it this weekend and it will look new once again..
