XC70 Factory Dog Gate

I am pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I have to ask. I came across a good deal on a 2006 xc70 factory dog gate/cargo barrier. I have a 2000 v70xc. Everything that I have looked at on-line for reference seems to indicate that the gate will not fit, as the parts seems to be divided into 2000 and earier, 2001 and later.
Does anyone have any experience with this installation, would it possibly fit, could it be made to fit?

Spoke with a dealer, who actually had the oem gate installed on his V70, and confirmed that the P2 model will not fit the P1 model. As I figured.

So there is a 2006 oem cargo/dog gate for sale on craig's list in Bellingham (Washington, I think). Good price. I just can't use it.

I think this is the factory name for it. Does anyone have installation instructions or a picture of how the little brackets mount?????
