During a huge rain storm, I parked under a pine tree.  Bad move, there is now some pitch on the car.  What is a gentle way of getting this stuff off a car without damaging the paint? I think it is mostly in one area.

    Thanks in advance.

most bug 'n tars will take it right off if you don't let it set too long.  Just follow the bug 'n tar with some wax and you'll be good to go.

If you notice it in time, some very hot soapy water (washing up liquid) will remove it, this will work for about three days after it happens, after that you will have to get tuffer.

OK, first I'll go with the hot water then get to the tougher stuff.

    Thanks for the help.

    Mark,

Here's what the folks over at Autopia Car Care recommend.
