Volvo released Overseas Delivery Program specifications and pricing for the 2008 V70 today.
With the launch of the All-New V70, Volvo also introduces the new Collision Avoidance Package. In addition to Adaptive Cruise Control, several new collision avoidance driver support systems have been added to make up the new world-first Collision Avoidance Package. These include Collision Warning with Auto Brake (CWAB), Distance Alert (DA), Driver Alert Control (DAC), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). Both Driver Alert Control (DAC) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) include the Forward Looking Camera (FLC). Working together, the Collision Avoidance Package systems are designed to sense an impending collision, alert the driver, and activate brake systems to help prevent or reduce the severity of a crash.

The Collision Avoidance Package will be offered on the Model Year 2008 S80, V70 and XC70 on cars produced on or after November 12, 2007. Price for this package is $1,695, the option has been increased by a nominal $200 compared with the previous Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system.
