So the replacement relay (part 9441158) is not used in AWD vehicles?
Hey guys- I have an '04 xc90 with a hidden hitch and volvo wiring kit. I never put in the relay (in the rear left side) since the instructions said "
#14. Connecting the positive power supply /...
I'm with dmd- WD40 after sitting on plastic and rubber for a while, can eat away at those parts. Good for rust and crude, bad for fittings and connectors
Really?! An AWD sensor?! Everything has sensors now....
Maybe the cruise control sensor (there must be one- there are sensors for everything) is faulty. ? Weird issue, but at least you know how to avoid it!
Get a copy of the service repair manual. It'll come on a dvd. That should step you through it.
I'm with dmd. Fix it. Change the brake pad.
I love my 2004 XC90 that I just purchased in september. I am in the northeast as well and winter stability played a key role in my decision to go with a volvo (along with the looks!). In the snow, it...
I had the same problem and thought almost identically. I didn't want the stereo to eat another cd.... But I tried anyway. After doing so, I got both discs to eject. Weird, but maybe it moved stuff...
Installing a trailer light kit isn't as easy as it used to be. No more splice tail light wire! My '04 XC90 needed a special relay installed on a fuse block (back drivers side) and a special wiring...
I'm not a mechanic by trade but grew up fixing cars and tractors... Always change the fluids when you can! Now with the ability to flush and fill without breaking pan seals, why not?!
Art, thanks for those two links! Very useful! As for the time for service light, autozone or local auto shop will reset the code for nothing with their special tool. That's assuming that all you need...
So it seems that the high idle is normal?! I have a '04 XC90 and it does what you described to the button (without the miss). I've read that purely synthetic oil is too thin and reg oil is too...
I'm in a similar boat. I just installed a hidden hitch in less than an hour. Moving to the volvo wiring harness from dealerfit.com. It is the actual volvo part number, so hopefully the installation...
I have an '04 xc90 and the drivers side 3rd row headrest is stuck. After a little pressure (more than I wanted to apply) I got it to flip down. But it won't flip inward- so the seat won't lay flat! ...
What about the wiring? The hitches don't come with harnesses....
PDXXC is right is saying "Volvo parts are quality and the integration is clean". Besides a dealer where do I find a good wiring...
This thread was helpful. I've been shopping around for a hitch to tow a small utility trailer for my '04 xc90. It was a toss up between a hidden hitch and the oem version. I do like how the oem sits...
