Freight from Sydney to Adelaide door to door $120 by air road direct www.airroaddirect.com.au - cheapest frieght I have used by far - better then TNT and busfreight. Book over the net - no account needed and don't need to be a business (but someone has to be home to pick up and deliver).
No hub centric rings were needed as the centre hub was the same size for 2004 XC90 and 2001-2007 XC70
Hub centric rings can be custom made from aluminium for $60 delivered by express post to Adelaide from Sydney. (stock rings for aftermarkent mags are only $20 - custom fiddle jobs cost $60)
Tempe Tyres - Sam was the guy I talked to for a previous custome job on another car. 02 9573 1010

Car is now 1 whole inch higher (25mm). Speedo is 7 km/hr or 5 mph too low at 100 kph. I'm now going faster than the speed says. Bigger gearing can mean less fuel due to lower rpm at cruise (if I drop the indicated speed by 7 kph that is - otherwise same rpm I'm just travelling faster).

The tyres are the tallest that will fit on my XC70 - the rear wheels rubbed on the guards at the front edge near the door sills - I had to use a heat gun to sqaure up the plastic liner inside the wheel well a smidge.
At the front the tyres just miss the spring saddle. Sometimes reversing on full lock and braking I can hear the faintest rub from the fronts - other than that I have had no interference. Driving the car I do feel higher off the ground - well at first I did - now it seems normal. The increased ground clearance is very noticeable.
The plan was to only use the rims with low profile tyres - but the tyres were in such good nick I had to try them to see if they fitted. The guards are as full of tyre as they will ever be.
