High Beams

I have noticed that sometimes when I have taken my Volvo in for a repair the high beams will stay lit when I put them on, other times they stop working and I have to hold the high beams on while I am driving. Any idea what might cause this? thank you.

Maybe you are not using the headlight position and are using the running light position on the headlamp switch,

Per the owners manual (Page 37 for MY '05 in this case http://new.volvocars.com/ownersdocs/...0_02b.htm#pg37) Light switch works the same regardless of MY.
