Default How to drop an oil pan??

    Hi,

Recently found my Volvo has relatively low oil pressure at 0.23 mpa at 4k+ rpm while it should be +0.35 mpa at 4k rpm. Funny thing is it is fine, actually higher than average oil pressure at idle. And internally, crankcase has a higher pressure than average. All caused by sludge.

Now, I am planning to drop an oil pan to clean things up, change o-rings, put it back to place with all fingers crossed for the hope.

I haven't found tho any good pictured information how to drop a pan on Volvos. If anyone knows please share if not then please share some knowledge as to what pipes/cables to take off to make enough clearance to get the pan out easily.

Seems it's pretty much straightforward job only if there wasn't any other stuff around oil pan that blocks it to drop off that easy.

Plz advise. Thank you in advance!!

That looks so easy! I've done this job on my Saab and it required disconnecting motor mounts and turbo downpipe and jacking up the engine to make room.

    Are those directions from VADIS?

That's what I am being told that there ain't much space to drop the pan. Need to unmount engine and jack it up. Which sounds not so easy to me.
