Picked it up today and he did not mention a code. Probably did not check I guess. Anyway, it is running great. He did say there was another plug loose so I suspect the dealership did not properly ...
That is exactly what my indy mechanic said. I'm having to wait a couple of extra days to get the part (sleeve) ordered because he does not keep any in stock. What scares me is the unknown of why...
Job change = change of plans
Found out from the mechanic today that the #4 spark plug got blown out and stripped the threads. So a sleeve that can be re-threaded, spark plug, new coil pack, labor, and towing will be $670....
I was on my way to work and it was running good for 5 miles. Started to accelerate from a stop and heard a pop noise coming from the engine. I had very little power, maybe 20% but
still could...
eBay
Is that some new station or do you make spelling mistakes too?
Sorry OP, could not resist. Those of you that have been around here a while know why.
I will keep you first on the list if I part that out.
Thanks for reading carefully and not being too caught up in yourself like some others.
No, there are holes drilled in the hatch to mount the thing. Thanks anyway.
Do you not read? Never said I would buy another 01 xc. I'm looking at a private party sale. I don't need you to correct spelling either.
I don't have a lot of time to deal with this and work...
I never said I was buying another XC. I'm looking at a C70.
I will check out the non fouler plug.
Thanks JRL. I was really hoping to get it on the market within the next week. I have another Volvo I'm hoping to purchase soon.
I just don't want to put it up for sale with a cel on. I know a guy...
So the cel will come on if I drive around town 10-15 miles. If I drive on the highway a couple of days in a row it goes back off. I drive to work
80 miles round trip on the highway and not much...
My '01 XC just hit 178k on the original tranny. Keep the fluid changed every 50k and enjoy.
First time I've heard this but it got really loud really fast. It sounds like a pop/knock similar to driving on the shoulder of the highway on the warning bars.
This only happens when I let off the...
I was trying to take off one of those cheap blind spot mirrors with the 3M adhesive and cracked the mirror all the way across.
I found a replacement glass on ebay pretty cheap but not sure how...
Just as well, ended up with a '98 4runner with 160k and good service history. These suv's run forever.
Looking for a S60 with less than 150k with major service records near the upstate of SC. Thanks!
Yep, a scary club to be a member of I suppose. I've kept new tran. fluid every 50k and my fingers crossed.
Hey JRL, is there a way to know which '02s are more reliable?
Yes, the service on any car is important when dealing with cars that are old and have many miles but some models are know for weaknesses due to
poor design or quality in parts. The '03+ changed...
Thanks JRL, so is '03 and up the better tranny like the other models I assume?
Long time XC70 owner who has dodged the bullet on my '01 tranny going out with 170,000+ miles. My son is interested in an S60 and his budget
is in the 4k range. Is the '01-'02 tranny known to...
I will check it out, thanks!
