What's wrong with the 03-04 2.5t?

So even the earlier 2.5 and the v8 can be troublesome? I know the tranny was a weak point on my 2001 v70xc so I regularly flushed it and only used the correct fluid. Never a problem. Really miss her...

I want to commend you, or assure you you've had amazing luck getting a Chrysler and a Nissan past 100k w/o problems. I have zero faith in those 2 marks.

Had the same problem. I swaped holders to make sure. Only a $6 part at Volvo.

Tried it. No joy. Any other ideas other than the Stealer? Plase remember that the seat heaters, defrosters, winter mode and tranny position indicator aren't working either. Common ground?

Someone suggested removing the battery ground for about 30 secs to reset the system. Did it to no effect.

I hadn't run it in about a week ( a lot longer than it normally sits) so I'm guessing there is a draw that caused the battery to drop too low.

How many miles does your car have? If the Volvo 5 cyl is anytrhing like the old Audi 5 cyl. then your not NEAR the end until you have 250-300k. Heck, 240s can do 300k.
