Winter came to Alberta and my 2010 xc70 3.2 had a dead battery when we were out of town for kid's sports tournaments.
Got a jump from a fellow Volvo owner. Started fine and then drove around a bit...

My 1999 v70xc is not a cheap car to operate. I change my own oil and do minor repairs. I have a great indy.
That said, it has features (ABS, traction control, AWD, more airbags than the michelin...
Happened to me too last Oil change. The flange at the bottom broke off like yours. Easy replacement. I figure not bad for 220000 km and 14 years of service.
I just did what the website said and wiggled while squeezing
As to symptoms I had The ABS light come on during panic stops. No flashing arrows
I did this to my ABS module when replacing and it worked.

There was an article in CAA's magazine on associated fees with importation. It's outlined here. Yes the MSRP has significant savings but make sure it is worth it after the fees. The premium cars have...
Thanks Jim.

I had a bit of time off and parked my car (99 v70xc - 220K km) outside for a couple of weeks at the airport. It rained like stink apparently.
Now I have some strange symptoms - may or not be...

Tires? What size brand and model you running?
No worries here. I'm an admitted DIY newbie. My car has taught me lots about repairs. I'm NOT a master mechanic Nortons but I am appreciative of these forums and the contributors to them. My car has...
My old stomping grounds. Let me know when you go out that way again. You might have a silver v70xc in your mirrors!
This generation of xc's are very comfortable, very safe and very practical. However, they are not an appliance car and require maintenance and when you buy used, you never know what has been deferred...
PM sent.
@PDLarson
These are P80's not P1's. Lest you incur the wrath of JRL
I love my 99 v70xc. Going to do the sways this weekend (IPD) a new Xemodex ETM (car was jerking around...literally) and try...
Extra MPG's.
Try cleaning your MAF, making sure the PTC nipple is clear and of course the PCV system.
Keep tires rotated and even pressure.
Clean the ETM. I'm replacing mine this week with...
Nice car, looks like mine. Have fun!!
Do you have the snow shield in place on the intake? When I removed mine the turbo spool was more easily heard. When I went to SNABB intake and an aftermarket panel filter, it's really loud. I like...
I'll get them balanced again. Maybe a lead fell off
I was running 195/65/15 (Gislaveds) winters on non-OEM wheels with a hubcentric spacer. I had noticed some uneven wear so I got an alignment done.
This week, I switched back to my summers...
220K Km (about 160K miles).
In US gallons we're getting about 21-22 in mixed suburban driving. When we go on a road trip, with a cargo box and a full car we get 25-26 highway (as by fillup...
I change my vote to cat A although I have done my radiator abs module. I'm getting into this more thanks to all the help from these forums. Donate every now and then to keep them alive. Think of...
