    Default 2008 Xc70

Here is the new 2008 XC70.
Some like it others don´t ! I´m not sure what to think.

I´m not to fond of the front and rear silvery "things" in the lower section of the bumper. The rest of the car looks nice.

    Mikael:

I agree with you, here's a little sloppy photoshop I did to help make it look better.

I see they retained the cargo rails, which I find very useful. I suppose this will be available this coming late summer.

You just took some very strang design cues and made them very decent.
I think you should send this to Volvo (REALLY).
The only problem I've seen the rear view and the ,ower rear will be very slab sided without something there to break it up, the front looks MUCH better the way you did it
Look, any new owner with ANY taste at all can pop those grills right out and paint them black, then they will visually disappear.

    Default Interior

What are the odds the interior will be similar to the new S80.

The problem is that it looks like styling has overridden using the XC off road. Anything on the lower panels is subject to brush, mud, ice and will be abraded. that is why the lowers of just cladding are useful. Hopefully this styling will not make to the final product.-Dick

Beleive it or not, but this is the final produkt.
And yes the interior will look like the S80. Probably with some parts XC-ised.

I agree the photoshopped version looks cooler.

Which one would you buy ?

    a Volvo XC70 2008
    or
an Audi A6 Allroad quattro 2007

I mentioned XC70 as 2008, because I believe it will be fair comparision as allroad was just released for 2007. ( Audi stopped production of Allroad from 2005 till 2007)

    Before....

    1998 Volvo T4
    2000 Volvo V40 2.0T

    2004 VW Bora 1.9TDI
    2007 Ford Focus TDCI
    2001 Volvo V70XC

    Now.....
    2003 Volvo XC90 T6 AWD
    2008 Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 3.2DiD

Me likes it Too bad that I will have to wait for a few years to get this car so that Volvo can have time to work out all the problems with this new model
