Default Trip to the beach North of Qatar

Another day, another trip. But this time away from the mountains and the snow, in sunny Qatar. Great weather. Hooked up with some friends and took the kids to a fun day at the beach. I hope you'll like the pictures.

Making sure that everything is there. Sure holds a lot of stuff.

Waiting for some friends to catch up.

    Everybody is almost here.

    Scenic drive.

    Almost there.

    The weather was great.

Obviously the Alfa Romea and Passat could not make it to the sandy area. They had to stay in the back.

    Ready to dive?

    A nice long beach

    Getting a tan.

    Almost going for a swim.

Now the real fun begins. Drifting on the sand.

Very smooth. RPM not going above 3500 area.

    Very easy to manoeuver

The fun is over. Time to go back.

    Thumbs up

    Your car looks great!

And they said the XC was no good in the sand.

Thanks for sharing a look at your part of the world.

I think, I would miss the snow and the trees.

Nice photos DaniK! Makes me green with envy as the mercury dipped to -21C this morning here.

    Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad you liked the pictures. By the way I wanted to jack wash the car from all the sand on the way back, but when I jacked the car, I realised that no sand was stuck underneath the car. Check it out for yourself:

    Cool

Oh and by the way, this is as snowy as it could get in Doha.

I am plannig a trip to the desert tomorrow. Real BIG sand dunes. Not sure if the XC could make it though. I will let you know once I'm back (with or without the XC ).

Basically, I will be doing something like that:

Judging from your silence, it seems that no one on this forum believes that this is possible. I am sorry to prove you wrong . Guys you have no idea what an incredible car you are driving. The XC is not an AWD with limited capabilities. The reviews were all wrong .

Keep watching this space as you will soon see some unbelievable pictures.
