Default Poor rear windshield washer performance

I wonder if this is a common problem. The rear windshield washer is really
a joke on my '05 XC70. The pump is just too weak, letting out two
short streams no more a few inches long. This causes the viper to ride on
a mostly dry surface, not only grinding up the glass but also smearing it
when salt splashed onto the window.

It works fine on my '05, I'd have the dealer check it. My Saabs occasionally had problems with clogged check valves. I don't know if the Volvo has them but if it does it could be something to look at.

Red face Mine shoot to the moon!

Yep.... errr nope... no problem with mine

My rear washers are veritable jets shooting all the way up to the top of the window

    I'd just have them checked.

Worked find on my vehicle then stopped one day. If this happens to you, don't ignore it for too long since the pump was actually working and I was pumping fluid into tail gate. Fixed under warranty.

This is our first winter with our 01 XC. I am having problems with my rear wiper spray as well. As soon as it turned cold it has stopped working. I have also had problems with the front sprays. They are at least working again. I just put in a colder weather solution but maybe the standard "blue" solution was not totally empty. Is this a common problem in the cold? Any solutions?

    Thanks

...could have just been frozen if you didn't have a solution resistant to freezing *shrug*

Thank you all. I'll definitely bring this up to the dealer now that I know this is not normal.
