    Default Engine Mounts and Bal Joint Questions

    What are the symptoms if the ball-shaped engine mounts are bad? I've already replaced the other 3 mounts. 04 XC70, 170k.

    I'm getting a slight vibration at around 40mph when accelerating. Not always.

    Same question on ball joints.

    At 170K those mounts are done. They don?t wear out like that lower torque mount, but they do wear.

    The symptom is vibration and ?clunking? over big bumps.

    Subframe mounts might need a look at that mileage as well.

    look down to see any leaking from them. mine had leaked.
