Default Upgrading rotors on my 2003 v70

    New XC owner here,

I made a mistake and ordered the wrong size rotors for my 2003 V70 when I bought them along side the brake pads . Should have ordered the 286MM. Totally my mistake for not researching and just went by the tire size. Anyways, it's going to cost me a lot to ship them back to FCP. FCP and IPD customer weren't much help and I didn't get any feedback from Facebook XC groups. Can I just upgrade to the 305mm? From my research it looks like I might just need the rotor bracket up in the front. Do the calipers stay the same and do the new brake pads also stay the same when upgrading? What about the rear rotor? The only size I see is 288MM so I think I should be good with what i bought. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you

You can upgrade to the 305 MM - all you need is the 305 mm rotors, and a set of caliper brackets for a 305mm car (a T5). Keep your calipers, brake lines, pads. Only changes are the rotors and the brackets.

I've done exactly this on the XC and it all fits under 16" Wheels.

Looks like about $25/bracket on Rock Auto. I have to laugh at Cardone saying they are "remanufactured"...what did they do? Put some paint on them? LOL...

Thanks Astro14! I went ahead and bought the brackets from Rock Auto and you're right, they look like they just cleaned and painted them. LOL. Now, on to complete the job.
